I for some reason, do not like cabinets. If you have nothing really to hide (visually, etc), and can store everything onto a shelf in decoration mode, then you should be OK. It seems to be more about aesthetics, but that's just me. :)
They're good for hiding my hoardy shame. Did you notice that we can expand the test houses even more?
I prefer to keep my things in cabinets. There are things you better keep out of the eyes of your guests. ;)
They're perfect for holding my bags full of stacks of hoarded goods. As far as stuff I use more often, like herbs, I have them in those endless storage cubbies.
I agree that it's about aesthetics. There are some things that I may want to "stock" in my house, but that I don't think make for a terribly attractive display. Those are the things I'd put in a cabinet.
What I want from cabinets is a bunch of styles that sit *in* the wall, rather than jutting out so far :\
Since I use multiple sets of bags for things, I like having the cabinets to store my extra bags. Plus, I don't have enough SDBs. LOL
I'm all about minimizing the load time on my home. SDBs seem to take some time to load, and if I keep things on the shelves, that also causes quite a bit of lag. I will be experimenting with cabinets to see if they work any better.
Same here, i rather would lik eto have more storage boxes instead, at least you see from glance what you have exactly.
I had an idea that it would be interesting to "cabinetize" your SDBs, in other words, combine them all into one visual display cabinet or some kind of display case. Instead of just one slot, there could be many and they could hold as much as the regular SDBs hold in each individual slot. of course, I'm not sure how it'd be implemented or anything, but I got the idea when my best friend, upon looking at a screen shot of my house declared I had a nice closet due to how I stacked my SDBs. Regular cabinets are fine for your other goodies, but a display case with cubimals or something? That'd be nifty. Maybe I should post this in the ideas forum... but it's probably already proposed...
