I'm half way on my journey down to England. 12 weeks after my brother's sudden death in the Middle East his ashes are being returned home. If all goes well (and we have had 7 false hopes) I should be collecting the casket from Birmingham airport on Sunday evening. Thank you everyone in helping me through this

I'm glad that, if anything, you'll be getting some closure. There's some comfort in that.

12 weeks after Martin died, and 7 failed attempts at trying to repatriot Yvonne and Martin's ashes, I actually thought they were going to return today. Sam and I have travelled to England to meet them off the plane. Yvonne got to the airport, but has been preventd from leaving. She is at the ministry at the moment but whaever happens will not be returning today (her flight has left)

I can't even begin to imagine how hard this all must be, and how unfair and stupid it is. I hope it gets sorted out soon, I've had a dear friend go through similar problems with a family death in Turkey many years ago and I remember the pain :(
