Dear crazy lady at the Bedford toll booth: I'd understand if it only happened with 20s, maybe even if you included 10s, but when you insist on holding every dollar bill you receive up to the light, checking both sides, I have to assume you are nuts. The thought that there's a high chance of finding a counterfeit single seems a bit far-fetched, certainly more far-fetched than the very tangible line of cars waiting for you to inspect each dollar bill.

Especially seeing as it's way easier to counterfeit the $20 bill than it is to counterfeit any of the other American bills. Crazy ladies are fun though, next time stop her and say are you sure that ones not counterfeit?

Most likely, someone passed her a couple of fake $1 -- they are easily photocopied and kids do this all the time -- and she got slammed for it.
