That is true, but it's lost it's feel for me I guess. The people who used to talk often hardly do anymore, and some of them have moved on to other games and other things and have left it altogether, which is what I seem to be doing too. It could just be me, however, since I haven't been myself in the last month or so.

Likely not just you. That's the continuum thing about it. Global has a little core, people eddy around it, but eventually, even the core shifts and becomes made up of other people. Things that were memes for a while eventually get bemused reactions (I'm looking at you, DIAMONDS). For a while, global can be your Cheers...but eventually, yeah. It changes. Or maybe you do. You never know--you may come back 'round to it and enjoy it again. But the way you first experienced it and loved it? Sadly, that's in part a time and place thing and it likely won't be exactly like that again. Or something.
