Little protip:
If you want to keep the old "rare" upgrade, try to avoid switching to a new one. Giving the item a makeover will make the old version go poof (kind of like in real life).
We recommend storing them somewhere special instead;) -

Here's a firebog charm I made last Halloween. I was experimenting with turnip carving, which is what they used for jack o lanterns before coming to North America and learning about pumpkins.
