[UPDATED] Happy Imagination Day!
Today we pull the giant knife switch to turn on the new Imagination system! We need to squeeze a few chickens and rearrange some bits for imagination, so we are turning off access to the game for a bit today. Your characters will be run through our patented Imagino-matic 5000 to prepare for Imagination.
When we come back, you will almost certainly have a different level (the level curves in the new system are different). You will also be able to spend imagination (iMG) right away, but only on character upgrades (this is NOT the housing reset, so you won’t be charged for land expansion until that happens).
We do not have a hard ETA for when the servers will be back up, but we will provide updates on progress as the day progresses! We will also provide more information on the switch later in the day.
UPDATE (1:15pm PST) - We've completed the player conversion process and now we are testing the various systems affected by the change. You have probably seen some of the changes to skill learning times and your character! Even with all the moving parts, we are making good progress. In a few moments we are meeting to review our progress and determine roughly when the game will reopen to general players. I will update this post after that meeting.
UPDATE (2:15pm PST) - We are getting close! Only a few more items to tweak, one last round of internal testing, and then we will open the game again.
UPDATE (3:30pm PST) - Wow, we are on the very last task on the List of Things that *Need* to Get Done Before Opening the Game Again. So, we are doing that, double checking and we'll be back as soon as we possibly can.

I wont start panicing just yet but on my skills page its saying that to learn Garden V will take 40 days 15 hours.

@York: Eek, all my skill learning times went up too! Glad I started learning Tinkering V before the update...
But yeah, I wouldn't panic yet, I have a feeling that maybe they took away the BL skills but we will have the ability to spend imagination points to decrease our skill learning times overall. - 75 days for TP5
- I must admit im glad i actually spent some time last week learning all the new skills and getting them learning at top speed. Only have 9 skills left to train anyways.

- LOL i know i'm glad i've learned all the skills but if i was to unlearn better learning 5 it would take 99 days

Glad I only have 4 days left to go on my last skill, Unlearning III.
Still waiting for my imagination. What if they forget me? What if the Giants are trying to tell me I have no imagination? What if...

- @swampfox they are rolling out the imagination - it is appearing slowly, and not everyone has seen theirs yet
- @swampfox: don't worry, mine and a lot of ppl's are still 0 too. I imagine it is taking them some time to convert everyone's XP to imagination points.

Im pretty sure they are normal days, i started training Animal Kinship VI this morning and it was at 3 days something.

ETA: My iMG is at 908,145. I was old level 41 earlier today.
I also have a lot more currents than I remember having, but I wasn't paying much attention to that, so it may be what I had earlier.

- My worst skills to learn are at 11 days now (I think before it was like 3 days or something). But don't worry guys: we don't know anything about the new system yet, and it's likely we will be able to spend imagination to upgrade our skill learning times kind of like better learning did.

- @Norman Star: After the change, you'll get iMG by doing the same types of actions that would have given you XP before the change.
- It was said a while ago (I don't have a cite, sorry) that BL was going to change from a set of skills to a set of iMG-based character upgrades. So, once the game opens back up, we should be able to spend some of our imagination to pull those skill times back down.

523,079i at level 26 (was 36 and just a smidge more before the break) - Plus, just because in the old system time for skill was measured in real days that doesn't necessarily mean time for skills in iMG isn't in Ur days.
