[UPDATED] Happy Imagination Day!
Today we pull the giant knife switch to turn on the new Imagination system! We need to squeeze a few chickens and rearrange some bits for imagination, so we are turning off access to the game for a bit today. Your characters will be run through our patented Imagino-matic 5000 to prepare for Imagination.
When we come back, you will almost certainly have a different level (the level curves in the new system are different). You will also be able to spend imagination (iMG) right away, but only on character upgrades (this is NOT the housing reset, so you won’t be charged for land expansion until that happens).
We do not have a hard ETA for when the servers will be back up, but we will provide updates on progress as the day progresses! We will also provide more information on the switch later in the day.
UPDATE (1:15pm PST) - We've completed the player conversion process and now we are testing the various systems affected by the change. You have probably seen some of the changes to skill learning times and your character! Even with all the moving parts, we are making good progress. In a few moments we are meeting to review our progress and determine roughly when the game will reopen to general players. I will update this post after that meeting.
UPDATE (2:15pm PST) - We are getting close! Only a few more items to tweak, one last round of internal testing, and then we will open the game again.
UPDATE (3:30pm PST) - Wow, we are on the very last task on the List of Things that *Need* to Get Done Before Opening the Game Again. So, we are doing that, double checking and we'll be back as soon as we possibly can.

- I understand it's changing and we don't know how what we're being given will work with the new changes and that everyone would rather the forums stay positive. But we are bound to be upset and worried when we don't know what's going on and venting our fears and frustrations really helps! So yeah we may be critical at first but that doesn't mean any of us are giving up on Imagination before we even see it. We just need to voice our worries and talk it over with others so that we can work past them.

I've been watching the threads listening to everyone discuss their distribution of iMG and currants, but neither of my values has changed and I'm now a little perplexed. According to the updates player conversion is over, and I still have 0 iMG.
I'm excited to get back in the game but this kind of worries me. :C - @WalruZ Yes! Buddhism FTW!
- The latest update to this post was at 2:15 PST. That's my time zone, and 2:15 was only half an hour ago. But the update says it was posted 5 hours ago. Can anybody explain the Magic Time Zones here? Five hours ago = 30 minutes ago. Must be somma that new math.

(Note if you haven't heard this before - this was written before the last major reset when we all went right back to complete newbie status. It was played to the whole game when the previous beta period ended and the game officially launched.)
I really need to write more Glitch songs :) - @Miss Cailia - or better yet, "Update 1 of 10" or "Update 3/4" or something like that~ <3

Hehe yes, an update number would be nice. I missed seeing the second update until a good 20 minutes or so after.
^Haha, agreed Arabesque! And it sucks, because I have a super-long day tomorrow... and then have to wake up early on Friday. Ah, self-control, where art thou?
Edit: Originally thought that mood dissapeared for good. Was like "WOOHOOO!" But now that I noticed there is no energy on the bar either, maybe they are just not on display but still exist. Oh well, I can hope! :) - @Theremina Lute, Love the song! This was just what I needed.

- I haven't been playing Glitch in a few months, and just got back to it this week. Wow, there's a lot of new stuff! Can anyone point me to an overview of the new imagination system? I think I've gotten the gist of it from various mentions, but if there was an official description/announcement at some point and someone has the link, I'd be grateful. Or is *everyone* waiting to see what's involved?
