The weekend’s mini-Epic, An Abstrixian Aside, wrapped up on Monday evening with a few million (!) pettings, waterings, massagings, etc. It was nice to have a few days to celebrate the Glitchian culture of generosity :)
And, all that feating led to some interesting releases …
First, after hitting the bonus goal for the feat A Fine How-Do-You-Do, and with so many hi signs in the air, butlers around the world spontaneously learned to give and receive hi signs themselves. Behold:

After the epic concluded, we took all the hi’ing a step farther with the new hi signs “macro game”. Starting now, until you’ve said hi to someone (or had someone say hi to you) you are able to “catch” someone else’s sign.
That means the signs can spread from player-to-player (as well as player-to-butler and even butler-to-player). There’s even a leaderboard showing which sign is in the lead, available in-game by clicking on the time/date in the upper right:

There’s no prizes for having your sign come in first for the day, except for that warm satisfaction of knowing … that it’ll eventually feed into something weird and interesting.
And look — two new locations were unlocked! Vantalu (released yesterday), which opens a new road north, up to the icy preserves of Nottis (which we released today):
Vantalu![]() |
Nottis![]() |
And in this icy domain, a new resource: ice nubbins which you can harvest and use in existing recipes that call for ice (vendors have now stopped selling it). But, also, you can make your own sno-cones … including the new rainbo sno-cone!

No feat-unlock these days is complete without some new quests. This time it’s “An Autumn’s Day” (available from Street Spirits between levels six and seven) and “An Old Fashioned B&E” (offered directly, near level 10).
You need something. Shrine powder? Parsnips? Rainbow Juice? Sometimes the thing you need can be a pain to find. Now, on (most) items’ info panes you can get a quick listing of that item’s availability in towers throughout the game. One click sends you off to the owner’s home street to seek out your bargain.

(The sellers tab will return a randomly-selected five of the eight lowest prices available at the time you search. To enter info mode, press the “i” key on your keyboard.)
And last, because it’s fun to chase them and watch them school and flock, Salmon have been imagined in the recently-added region of Jal:

These salmon (not to be confused with pocket salmen, which is what you get when you put the former in your pocket) are quite a fecund breed and appropriately abundant. Other than underwater locations which feature especially strong vents and currents, you should find quite a quantity.
And, if you have no need for the salmon (as food or as ingredient) you can even release them again to keep the wild population vibrant.
(P.s. There was a new secret location added to the game … but you’ll have to seek that out yourself ;)
